Executive Vice President
Dave is the lead on business development, estimating, safety, and quality control. Prior to his present position, he served for many years as Vice President of Operations.
With more than 42 years in the industrial contracting arena, Dave made a natural and easy transition to nurturing relationships and developing new clients for PMI. Dave’s background brings a good perspective to his oversight of the estimating, safety, and quality control departments and also helps bring a cohesive working relationship between clients and operations.
Dave has more than 42 years of experience in heavy industrial construction. He started in the crane and rigging field and rose to heavy rigging expert, moving and setting in place 3,000-ton modules for the Alaskan Pipeline gathering centers in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.
Dave then became the General Superintendent, overseeing more than 700 union craftsmen in the mechanical trades year round for Standard Oil of Ohio. He built excellent relationships with the UA’s, boilermaker’s, millwright’s, and ironworker’s leadership, and with those relationships he was able to create PLAs and harmonious work sites with high productivity levels.
Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He went on to earn an advanced studies certificate at Babson College in Boston for the Advanced Leadership Institute (ALI), and he is on the National Committee for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA).
He holds various certificates from professional organizations and sits on the executive board of directors for the California Plumbers and Mechanical Contractors Association (CPMCA) and the board of directors for the Pipe Fabricators Institute (PFI).
